Ride the MountainsGlacier Country is full of mountains and forests with trails a-plenty for the mountain biking enthusiast. If you want easy access, grab a ride up the mountain using Whitefish Mountain Resort's gondola, and then just point yourself downhill!
You Have the PowderLost Trail Pass, Missoula Snowbowl, Blacktail Mountain... the list goes on. Montana has many choices for getting your powder fix, and every winter receives large quantities of snow. With temperatures averaging 18 degrees, you shouldn't be worrying about getting wet!
Gazing DownOn the south end of Flathead Lake, and only a dozen miles or so outside of Polson, Kerr Dam is a great visit for anybody interested in these massive, man-made structures. Take the extra time, and see this dam from both above and below.
Get a Saucer or SledWinter is a season that seems to stay around for extended periods of time in Montana. All the more reason to save yourself a little money some days and take the family or friends out sledding. You'll find plenty of people out wherever you go enjoying this old past-time.

Make Your Own WavesRent a Wave Runner and hit the lakes. Glacier Country is chock-full of lakes, both large and small, that offer the adventurous traveler and local a great way to enjoy the water. Feel free to make some noise this summer, and get moving across the lake.
Bring Your Par Down A NotchFun for the family, or anybody not wanting to really keep score. Mini-Golf can be a wonderful way to spend the day. A favorite location of anybody going through Glacier Country is at the Glacier Maze & Mini Golf on HWY 2 on your way to the west entrance of Glacier Park.
Rent a motorcycle and cruise the roads and byways of Western Montana.
North American Wildlife MuseumAn essential stop for anyone interested in the wildlife of the Rocky Mountains. More than 90 spectacular exhibits including grizzlies, wolves, elk and one of only five known sets of locked moose anglers found on this continent. Located on HWY 2 near the west entrance of Glacier Park.
Cool Off At High SpeedSplash Montana in Missoula, and the water slides in Columbia Falls are both great locations to catch a break from the summer time heat. The latter of the two has a fun River Ride for older kids, a "Geronimo" slide with a magnificent drop, and a mini-golf course.
Stop and pose with the hefty Hereford along Highway 200 at Clearwater Junction.
Drive the Looking Glass Highway (Hwy 49) along the eastern edge of Glacier National Park. It offers incredible views of the park and the Blackfeet Indian Reservation.
Toss Your Disc, Not Your ClubsGet out in the woods and enjoy a walk through the trees. Folf is a wonderful way to spend an afternoon, morning or evening with friends. Missoula is home to the majority of established folf courses in Glacier Country, offering both a technical course and a "long-bomber" course.
Drive the East Side Highway between Hamilton and Florence.
