Big Arm

Located on the "big arm" of Flathead Lake is the aptly named community of Big Arm. The area around Big Arm is home to numerous types of wildlife and provides incredible views of the lake. Located near Wild Horse Island—a present-day state park that is home to bears, bighorn sheep and deer. Years ago, the Salish-Kootenai Indians would pasture their horses on the island to avoid having them stolen by other tribes.
