Named for the area's natural waters, Hot Springs is located on the western edge of the Flathead Indian Reservation. Years ago, the Pond d'Orielle Indians called the hot springs "big medicine" and relied on the healing powers of the springs. Today, Hot Springs draws thousands of people from around the world to its quaint community and healing waters. And after a day of playing in the area, visitors can relax to the sounds of live music at the community's twice weekly concerts, followed by a soak in the springs.
If you're in town during the second weekend of June, be sure to check out the community's Homesteader's Days (in honor of the original homesteaders to the area) with events that include a street dance, art and crafts show and two-day rodeo. http://www.hotspringsmtchamber.org
